Jayalalitha announced the following to develop education standard of Tamilnadu. The children will receive four sets of uniforms (earlier it was two) besides footwear, bags, geometry boxes and colour pencils. Boys from class six and above would now get full-pants instead of half pants, while girls will be given 'salwar kameez'. The government would incur an expenditure of Rs 259.95 crore on providing the new uniforms. She also ordered to provide footwear to 81 lakh students at a cost of about Rs 94 crore. If sources are to be believed, the Chief Minister took keen interest in finalising the colours and designs of the uniforms. 'She wanted children look as smart as the ones in private schools,' said an official who is part of the elaborate exercise benefiting over 92 lakh boys and girls.

Jayalalitha will present chief minister award to a good town panchayat, district panchayat and others on independance day. A good municipality will get 25 lakhs of rupees, first 3 town panchayats will get 15,10 and 5 lakhs of rupees respectively and first district panchayats will get 10,5 and 3 lakhs respectively, jayalalitha announced. Certificates will be issued to village panchayats, she added. A high level group has been formed under the leadership of Rural development minister, she said. She allotted 55 lakhs of rupees for this.

Date : 09-07-2012 Jaya fills vacancies of 1623 Assistant Head masters posting in government colleges. She said that this will take long time for selecting a prompt person. Upto this process, temporarily the Assistant HM posting will be fillled by seniority basis.Their salary to be fixed as 10,000 per month.  For improve higher education of Tamilnadu, this government increasing the number of government colleges. But this is not only full fill the needs, also correct number of staffs should be needed for giving quality education to students. I think this appointment of staffs will satisfy the requirement, she added.

Date: 08/07/2012 Selvi J.Jayalalitha signs for appointing 3000 (Three thousand) new employees for TNEB (TamilNadu Electricity Board). Also she said that these employees will work as trainees for two years with Stipend(salary) of Rs.3250 (Three thousand, Two hundred and Fifty rupees). After this period, they will be worked as government employees and their salaries also increased according to their works, she added. Also these employees will be appointed as per their registration phenomenon by Tamil Nadu Employment exchange. This decision will improve the quality of power transmission to utilisers.
