Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam said the Dharma Yudham he began a year ago (against Sasikala and her family) was a victory. At Theni, he told reporters that the objective (of removing Sasikala family from the party) of his dharma yudham has been achieved. When the party founder MGR floated the AIADMK, he wanted it to be the party of the cadres. When Amma (former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa) took over the reins of the party from MGR, she transformed it into a party with a massive cadre base.
