Date: August 22, 2012 Honble speaker Mr. Jayakumar inaugurated an exhibition in connection with Chennai day. Honble Minister for school education, sports and youth welfare Mr. N. R. Honble Chief Minister chaired a review meeting on the new power projects in the state

Date: August 23, 2012 Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J.Jayalalitha conducted a review meeting on the new power projects envisaged to avoid the power shortage prevailing in the state. In this meeting, Jayalalitha asked the level of completion of the Thermal power plants at vellore(500MW), Mettur(600MW) and North chennai(600MW). Jayalalitha urges the officials to finishes these projects as soon as possible. In this meeting, Finance minister of Tamilnadu O. Paneerselvam, Minister for Electricity Mr. Natham Visvanathan and officials were participated in this meeting. Jayalalitha concluded that this projects will minimise the power shortage in the Tamilnadu.

Jayalalitha conducts a meeting on the action to be taken against the EMU farms who have cheated the investors

Date: August 17, 2012 Emu farms company had been established and collected the lakhs of rupees from 36000 investors from Erode and Coimbatore districts. Also they cheated by their advertisements. And they promised to repaid the deposits after a year, but they failed to repay. Totally Tamilnadu Police got 16 complaints against this case. Police pointed 33 of them to be named as accust. Still now, 4 of them were arrested from this. On this day, jayalalitha chaired a meeting on the action against the Emu farms cheating. Jayalalitha ordered to take necessary steps against this case during this meeting. Also jayalalitha suggested to police to capture the properties of Emu farms owners and to be settled to innocent investors. Also jayalalitha ordered to Animal husbandry department to protect the Emu hen which are all in these farms.
