Presidential election results for Tamilnadu: No of Legislative members: 234 Registered votes: 197 Mr. Shangma got 148 votes with the value of 26,048. Mr. Pranab mukerji got 45 votes with the value of 7920. Remaining 4 votes has been conceded as Invalid. Three from AIADMK and 1 from Others. In Tamilnadu, Legislative assembly member vote value is 176 from the basis of year 1986 Population sensex and the Total value is 41,184(234*176).

Mr. Shangma congratulates Mr. Pranab for this winning of presidential polls. Also thanks AIADMK supremo and Chief minister of Tamilnadu J.Jayalalitha and Odisha chief minister Navin patnayak for gave enormous support to him. He said that i have lost, but nation also lost an opportunity to place a tribal as President.

In Tamilnadu, 84% of presidential election polling. Totally 197 MLA's and 15MP's were registered their votes. 151 MLA's including Honourable Chief minister J.Jayalalitha and 14MP's of AIADMK voted to Mr.Shangma. It ended on 5 PM. Vote box sealed safely by Election board and it will be sent through Air India Plane tomorrow, sources said.

Date: July 19, 2012 Presidency election starts. Jayalalitha registers her vote at Fort st George in chennai Secretariat. 151 MLA's of AIADMK is registering their votes. 12 MP's of AIADMK will register their votes in chennai. In Puducherry, AIADMK members registered their votes at Legislative assembly in Puducherry.

151 MLA'S and 14 MP'S of ADMK attend this meeting by the head of Mr.Madusoothanan. It held at Admk office, Chennai. J.Jayalalitha gives advice to them as how to vote to Mr.shangma for upcoming President's election. Presently AIADMK having 36,448 votes from Tamilnadu as well as Puducherry. Two third of MLA'S from 151 are freshers, so this meeting plays important role to them.

AIADMK Chief Jayalalitha introduced the name Mr.Shangma for the upcoming President election as candidate. National party BJP acknowledged Mr.Shangma by responding the Jayalalitha's words. But Parties like DMK from Tamilnadu, Communist, Siva sena and others are supporting the candidate Mr.Pranab mukerji who is introduced by Congress. Now cent percentage of victory is confirmed to Pranab. But Shangma having some hope that wonders will happen. Also he pointing that MLA's and MP's of India will support me indirectly because of the disappointment which was created while he became a Finance minister of India. But still Miss.Mamta Banerji who is chief of West Bengal, is not announced their support to Pranab. Congress party hope that Mamta will support us because she is enjoying ministry with UPA alliance. But mamta's candidates Abdul kalam for President and Gandhi's grandson for Vise president was ignored by congress. July 19 is the result of these twists.
