Date: August 17, 2012 Jayalalitha stated that the Tamilnadu Police are already taking care of their safety. She assured the safety of North east people who are worried about their safety due to recent happening in Assam. The state of Tamilnadu has always been peaceful, and my government will ensure that people from all parts of india living in Tamilnadu do not face difficulty, jayalalitha added.
