Jayalalitha flagged off the 1000 new buses and introduced the 379 new bus routes at secretariat on september 11, 2012. In addition, she handed over the pensionary benefits of Rs. 32.88 crore to the 1574 retired Transport department employees.
Transport is the backbone of the country's development. Tamilnadu transport corporation is playing a vital of giving talented service to the passengers. Transport department of Tamilnadu has been providing services to all over the Tamilnadu. Nearly 19828 buses are operating and 2.10 crores of peoples are benefiting through TNSTC(TamilNadu State Transport Corporation). So Government of Tamilnadu is working to improve their service and giving excellent service to the people.
