Jayalalitha announces solatium from Chief minister public relief fund through the press release on August 18, 2012
Jayalalitha announced solatium from Chief minister public relief fund to the family of the person who succumbed to self immolation at Viruthunagar district. Mr. Kaliyappa devar's son Mr. Ganesan who suicided himself by kerosene while officials removing the buildings which covered government lands according to the order of high court on August 18, 2012 at Viruthunagar district, Sivagasi area, shirukulam kanmai. Jayalalitha condoled this death and announced Rs. 1 lakh to his family.

Mr. Chinnamuniyandh's son Mr. Muneeswaran from Viruthunagar district, sathur area, Thulukkankuruchi, who worked at private cracker factory, sivagasi area, kottamadankkipatti village was died in fire accident on August 12, 2012 and accident was held on august 10, 2012.
Mr. Krishnasamy's wife Mrs. Ramalakshmi from Kallanayakkanpatti village was died in fire accident while she was working at the private cracker factory, viruthunagar district, sivagasi area, Maraneri village on August 13, 2012. Also Mr. Thirupathi who injured and hospitalised in this accident. Jayalalitha announced the solatium of Rs. 1 Lakh to the family of died and Rs. 25000 to injured.

Mr. Karuppu's son Mr. Periyasamy and Mr. Antony raj's son Mr. James raj were died and 14 others were injured in road accident by government bus and van clash at the madurai district, madurai south area, memadurai village on August 14, 2012. Jayalalitha announced the solatium of Rs. 1 lakh to died, Rs. 25000 to heavily injured and Rs. 10000 to injured.
