AIADMK leader jayalalitha as Chief minister swearing ceremony on May 16, 2011

AIADMK chief J. Jayalalithaa is ready to form government on Sunday 14th May 2011. She will meet Tamilnadu governor Surjit Singh Barnala and ready to form government for a third time. AIADMK chief said that date of swearing will be decided after the meeting of newly-elected 150 legislators here Sunday. The venue of Jayalalitha swearing is more likely to be on 16th May 2011 at the University Centenary Hall. AIADMK party has contested in 160 seats and won 150 of them, and the leaders will be take the new seat of power at 17th century structure St. George Fort rather than new assembly complex. AIADMK leaders believe that the massive victory in the state is due to faith in Jayalalitha who has ability in providing good and efficient government. The main priority of AIADMK government is to
    • Restore law and order
    • Put the Tamilnadu state’s economy back
    • Bringing down the prices
    • End to “perennial power cuts.
Earlier, DMK chief & Tamilnadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi has submitted his resignation to governor Barnala. However he asked him to continue till the new government has made.

The swearing-in ceremony of Jayalalitha will take place at the Madras University Centenary auditorium here at 12-15 p.m.
